Following on from the Chime for Change initiative, Gucci along with Beyonce as artistic director are staging a benefit concert they like to call, Sound of Change Live.

Founding committee member, Salma Hayek, was in London today to officially announce the concert and to announce that tickets are to go on sale as soon as tomorrow. The concert is aimed at raising funds for women’s health, education and justice around the world.

Speaking about the concert, co-founding committee member, Beyonce, had this to say about the concert:

Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible. I am excited for us to come together on June 1st to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage.

The concert, which will be held at the Twickenham Stadium on the 1st of June will feature Beyonce, John Legend and Florence + The Machine as headlining acts. This will be the perfect welcome back to the stage for the latter following their year-long hiatus. Other acts confirmed to add to the bill are Ellie Goulding, Haim, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora and Timbaland with even more acts to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The concert has been confirmed to be broadcast around the world live on the 1st of June. So guess what we’ll be doing come the dawn of June?
