ICYMI: Soweto Gospel Choir – “Arms of an Angel” LIVE | Clash of the Choirs

Soweto Gospel Choir take on Sarah McLachlan classic.

What would the Bonang Matheba hosted hit TV series, Clash of the Choirs be without the Soweto Gospel Choir stepping in to show the contestants how it’s done. The three-time Grammy Award-winning artist took to the Clash of the Choirs stage with the Sarah McLachlan classic, “Angel”. Soweto Gospel Choir’s live cover left nothing to be desired and had everyone, including judge, Rebecca Malope, stunned with appreciation and respect.

The song was beautifully arranged to allow a number of singers opportunity on singing the verses. The Zulu switch was a welcomed surprise and gave them the edge that acts like Westlife, Kelly Clarkson, Katherine Jenkins, David Phelps and Randy Crawford, could not possibly have, although all responsible for great “Angel” covers.

In case you missed the episode, watch the full performance right here.
