Jay unpacks his “dangerous dance with fame”.
And what a beautiful metaphor that is. Truly a beautiful way to not only encapsulate the theme of the album but also where he’s at at the moment. In this Part 2 of the interview, Jay-Z will also reveal details on how sometimes he just doesn’t want to be Jay-Z for a moment. Moments where he’d just like to be Shawn and take his daughter for a walk and buy her ice-cream. Of course he also notes that that would make it too perfect. We also get to hear his shock at the industry trying to fight him on trying to find new avenues of generating revenue in music. Most interestingly, look out for his thoughts on Kanye’s Yeezus.
