KING stop by the Recording Academy HQ for an exclusive interview and performance.
In a matter of months, alternative R&B trio, KING, have already become the artist to look out for this year. Thee tracks in the form of an EP is all it took to convince not only the world, but legends such as Prince, which the lovely ladies were fortunate enough to open for three weeks after their EP release. It’s been a whirlwind of success for these sistas but the feeling you get from all three of them is that they’re still the same girls from the block. They just happen to really love music, creating it and sharing and they talk about this, their career highlights, who KING is and what they’re loyal fans mean to them. Catch each of their eight answers to The GRAMMYs question in video bites down here.
Now what you’re really reading this post for is the performance and so I was sure to leave ’til last. KING were sweet enough – as they naturally are – to perform all three tracks from their EP – “Supernatural”, “In the Meantime” and of course, “Hey”. Stripped to the essentials, they perform a moving acoustic set right at the Recording Academy. Hopefully we’ll get to see them on The GRAMMY stage some day in future.
KING are set to drop their debut album soon and we can’t wait to share it with you guys. Check back soon for details on the album drop and the album itself.
