Jordin Sparks is back and in love.
The last time we heard from Jordin was 2009’s Battlefield. She’s since fallen in love and it seems like love has gone from always feeling like a battlefield to making her heart skip a beat. The new mid-tempo R&B single features an array of beautiful sounds from keys to synths to strings. Perhaps not the most ideal song for a comeback or first single. There’s nothing immediately exciting about the song and it sounds like the kind of track you’ll hate on the album, then enjoy for a week before skipping it each time you play the record again. How well it serves her new album remains to be seen but it sounds like it might just be good, mature new album.
