Quincy Jones finds the “it factor” in Nikki Yanofsky.
Riding on the shoulders of legends such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and The Beatles, Nikki Yanofsky took to the Capitol Studios for a live, on the floor session of recordings of the songs to her forthcoming album. When partaking in the legacy of legends, who better to guide you than a living legend? When deciding on who to offer the producer credit for this session, Yanofsky could think of no other than mentor and friend, Quincy Jones. The two speak fondly of their working relationship – Yanofsky is signed to Quincy Jones Productions – and friendship which stretch as far back as Yanofsky’s teen years. Jones even finds himself at a loss for words when attempting to describe the “it factor” she possesses. Perhaps his closing statement says it best: “You bad, girl!”
