PREMIERE: Cuebur ft. Marissa Guzman – “No Doubt” | Video

Cuebur leaves us with no doubt that he’s new single’s a hit.

This is probably the most exciting house track we’ve heard since DJ Qness’ hit single, “Everything”. Truth be told: there’s very little to look at in the video but perhaps you’ll enjoy getting intimate with Cuebur and his vocal assistant, American songstress, Marissa Guzman. This is a house track, after all, and that means it’s the actual track that’s meant to be enjoyed. And boy, are you about to lose it. Dub step made ‘the drop’ infamous and Cuebur takes it to another stratosphere in this one. The bass and strings coupled with a xylophonic rhythm add to the reason why this track is already burning up dancefloors across South Africa. It is the second single from Cuebur’s For Heads Only which is available now on iTunes. Show some love with a simple purchase and play.

Watch: Pharrell Talks New Music, New Life + New Girl | Hot 97 Interview

So we’ve come to our conclusion about Pharrell’s ‘Get Lucky’ performance: he got over-excited. Speaking recently on The Angie Martinez Show, he talked about how excited he is that music is changing in that the fans want to hear different things now which is what he’s always been all about. And that’s what makes him especially proud about the success of ‘Get Lucky’.

In terms of other notable names he’s been hanging out with, Skate Boy P revealed that he’s been working with BeyoncĂ©, Miley Cyrus, No Doubt, Jennifer Hudson, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, Kylie Minogue, Busta Rhymes and Jay-Z. When asked about Jay’s new record, Pharrell simply replied, “The Rain Man is back!” Damn. We can’t wait!

However, this interview wasn’t just about work. Angie kicks it off on a more personal and intimate note asking Pharrell everything from how he keeps his skin so youthful, his past life involving bringing girls home and the committed man he is now. All of this right here:

No Tour for No Doubt

untitled

No Doubt have annouced on their official website that they will not be hitting the road as previously planned but rather working on bringing their music starving fans new music. Er… Okay.

The ‘Don’t Speak’ rockers cite the fact that they (and by they we mean Gwen) felt that they had all this new music in them and that they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share it with the world. Perhaps the issues they should have been focussing on are to do with their new album Push and Shove which they have failed to push and shove to the top of the charts. A hard lesson to learn for former music greats but the reality is you can’t just leave your fans hanging and expect to just come back and find them waiting (unless of course you’re Michael Jackson because he can do anything).

Be that as it may, we really do hope No Doubt pull it together because I’m pretty darn sure that I’m not the only who would like to hear another ‘It’s My Life’ soon (or at least have the opportunity to hear it on tour).

Check back in again soon for details on their upcoming album. Meanwhile, check out that official statement .
